Carbon Neutral Challenge

The Carbon Neutral Challenge (CNC) is a voluntary effort by Oregon wineries and vineyards to measure, track, and reduce their greenhouse gas emissions and overall environmental impact, with the ultimate goal of becoming carbon neutral. The CNC uses transparent national and international standards of greenhouse gas reporting and assists wineries with investing in cost-effective efficiency improvements and operational changes that reduce greenhouse emissions. CNC wineries concentrate on lessening their own environmental impact, but they also work together to create innovative solutions to sustainability issues in the Oregon wine industry. The CNC is a collaborative initiative by participating wineries, the Oregon Environmental Council, Oregon Wine Board, Ecos Consulting, The Climate Registry, and the Bonneville Environmental Foundation.

Participating Oregon wineries are: A to Z Wineworks/REX HILL, Abacela, Adelsheim Vineyard, Chehalem Winery, Cooper Mountain Vineyards, King Estate Winery, Left Coast Cellars, Lemelson Vineyards, Mahonia Vineyards, Sokol Blosser Winery, Soter Vineyards, Stoller Vineyards, Willamette Valley Vineyards, and Winderlea Wine Co.
